Prim Point

Early in the week we woke to a thick covering of frost as far as the eye could see. Still no snow! Then throughout the week we warmed up until today it reached 16 degrees C. Tomorrow however it will be half that.

Last weekend we went to a place called Prim Point, it was really beautiful with the ocean on three sides. We explored the exposed rocky shore line and of course there was a lighthouse, the tallest we have seen yet.

On Sunday, we invaded the local chess club. They have a monthly tournament in Charlottetown. David won the gold medal for his grade. Naomi took the silver medal for her division as did Mary-rose for the grade 1's. There was some very nice kids there. It's on every month so we'll be regulars.

A day or two after that we all started getting a sickness so have been laying low this week and not doing too much, but we did go to Walmart. Man, I couldn't believe how cheap the clothing was, about half of the price you would pay in Oz. Also, we went to 'Beaconsfield Historical House' which is a museum. That was really nice, it was one of the original prestigious houses in the area from 1870's.

This week we are meeting with the home school group at the library, the kids have their last week of swimming lessons and we have been invited over to dinner by a nice local family. She's from America and apparently they are just having there Thanks giving now, so it sounds like she's going to cook us a traditional thanksgiving dinner.
