I'm not calling it snow, yet!

All of the leaves have fallen from the trees now. It all happened quite quickly.

Last Saturday 7th Nov. We reached new heights of cold. We surpassed Adelaide cold and reached a high of zero degrees. Things that were not rain were falling from the sky, but they weren't snow either. Little balls of ice, small, flat sheets of ice and things that look like snow flakes but were wet and see through, not white, so I'm not calling it snow, yet! but ultimately we are getting closer it should be any day now.

Then on Sunday and for the rest of the week the weather warmed up again. Tomorrow is going to be 10 degrees C! and I can't believe I'm saying this but after being in 0, that's warm! lol!!!

The first picture in this blog shows Saint Peter's Bay near to where we live. In the back ground (you might have to click on the photo to see it up close) is the church , St. Peter's, where we go sometimes. We continue to make new friends and explore the island. We saw the most beautiful scenery yet in the National Park to the North of the Island (didn't have the camera though).

Along the coast to the East, we encountered a wild fox, who was just as curious about us as we were about it!

As you can see in the next photo my lighthouse fetish continues to be satisfied I've lost count of how many we've seen now. As you probably guessed there was loads (over 200) shipwrecks here throughout the 17 & 1800's.

Wed. was a public Hol here for Remembrance Day we went to the parade in town. I finally saw a mounty.(karen & Harold-Do you recognise the statues?-I couldn't see the web cam)
